Allegheny County Medical Bureau has identified the predecessor as Jason Kidd.

The Medical Investigation Bureau confirmed to Fox News that Kidd collapsed during basketball practice shortly after 5 p.m. at Chartiers Valley High School in Bridgeville.
Kidda was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The official medical investigation office did not release the official cause of the boy’s death.

Fox News contacted Chartiers Valley High School and School District for comment.

The school district referred Fox News to the website statement from Supervisor Johannah M. Vanatta. She said the district was “deeply saddened by the tragic incident that happened at (Chartiers Valley Middle School)”.

“I am confident that our community will rise in support. My thoughts and prayers are with the student’s family, friends, teammates, coaches, teachers and everyone affected by this tragedy,” she said.

Out of respect for the family, the district does not release further details. The high school crisis group will be available to students and staff on Thursday, Vanatta said.
