Matthew Perry is ready to say it all.
The “friends” the star is ready for the outcome memoir in the fall of 2022, where he will discuss the time of filming the sitcom, as well as his battles with addictions, Fox News reported.
The book is the result of a reported seven-digit contract with Flatiron Books, a Macmillan division that has acquired worldwide rights.
“In the book, Perry takes readers behind the scenes and to the sound stage of the most successful sitcom of all time, while revealing his private struggles with addiction,” the publisher told Fox News in a statement sent Friday.

“Honest, confident, and told with his trademark humor, Perry vividly describes his lifelong struggle with the disease and what motivated it, even though he seemingly had it all,” the statement continued. “Perry’s memories, the first of the cast of ‘Friends’, are unwaveringly sincere, shy and funny: this is a book that ‘Friends’ fans have been waiting for, but it will also shed a strong light for all who are in their own battle for himself or for a loved one. “
“We need humor, we need catharsis, and we need to agree on something – and that’s Matthew’s remarkable story, told by his inimitable voice,” said Megan Lynch, who will edit the manuscript. “Matthew’s book has unparalleled potential for bringing people together, which seems especially encouraging right now, in a time of isolation and division.”
The 52-year-old is best known for playing Chandler Bing in a popular TV show from 1994 to 2004. He is expected to earn more than $ 24 million in 2002-2003 alone.
In May, he appeared in addition to his co-stars in the HBO movie “Friends: The Reunion.” Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.

Perry has been open about his addiction struggles in the past as he has been in rehab several times to prevent substance abuse. While speculation was rampant at the time, after he reappeared in public as a result of the reunion, he did not publicly disclose any repetition or re-struggle with his sobriety.
In 2016, Perry admitted BBC Radio 2 that he could not remember filming several seasons of “Friends.”
“I think the answer is that I don’t remember three years of that,” he said of the starting point at the time. “So none of that … Somewhere between season 3 and 6 … I was a little out of it.”
Perry said an accident on a jet ski left him addicted to painkillers at some point.
“I didn’t intend to have a problem with that,” he explained. “But from the beginning, I liked how I felt, and I wanted to get more.”

“I was unsupervised and very unhealthy,” he added.
In June this year, Perry and Molly Hurwitz broke off their engagement.
Perry and the literary agent started dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2020, People Magazine reported.
“Sometimes things just don’t work out and that’s one of them,” he said in a press release. “Molly I wish you all the best.”
