A 33-year-old man from California was able to repay his debt for a student loan after pledging to eat almost all of his meals at Six Flags for seven years.
The man, identified as Dylan, began taking advantage of Six Flags Magic Mountain’s annual ticket in 2014 while working as an intern in an office a few minutes away from the amusement park, reports WKRC.
“You can pay about $ 150 for unlimited year-round access to Six Flags, which includes parking and two meals a day,” Dylan said in an interview with Mel Magazine. “If you make the right decision, you can eat both lunch and dinner there every day.”
In his first year, Dylan admitted he didn’t think he was “as far as going to the grocery store,” and admitted that to me at the theme park, which consisted of burgers, fries and pizza, “he wasn’t healthy at all, which is it was rough, “the magazine reported.
Since then, Dylan has reportedly been able to buy a house and get married in addition to repaying student loans. The exact amount of his debt for the student loan was not stated.
He estimates he has eaten more than 2,000 meals at the amusement park over the years, paying about 50 cents for each meal, Mel Magazine reports.
After the wedding, Dylan said he stopped eating at Six Flags for dinner and on weekends. He still goes to at least three lunches a week.
“We just bought a house here, so I’m really not going anywhere,” Dylan told Mel Magazine. “As long as they change the menu, I’m happy.”
