WEST PEORIA, Ill. (AP) – The king of rock n ‘roll is in the building again.
Jimmy’s Bar employees found a missing bust on the porch in front of West Peoria Lounge on Thursday night. The star of Peoria magazine reported.
The theft was discovered Sunday morning.
“She’s back!” Pub owner Jimmy Spears said early Friday that he attributed the return of the bust to the wide-ranging attention his theft attracted. Wednesday at the bar Facebook the party filed a return complaint: “No questions asked.”
Spears said he is considering options to improve safety for the bust, but is in his familiar position again for now, looking at the salon and greeting customers at the top of his long bar.
Spears, the owner of the bar for 39 years, said his niece bought the bust about 15 years ago at a garage sale for $ 20 and he soon became the mascot of the company.
