In a weekly GOP address on Friday, spokesman Bruce Westerman (R-AR) said a democratic policy would lead to more production of goods in China powered by national coal-fired power plants.
Westerman stated: “Currently, while [there are] horrific policies that would harm America, countries like China are building more coal-fired power plants. Last year, China built 38 gigawatts of coal-fired power plants. It’s one big coal-fired power plant every week. These factories are building so they can have electricity to produce to send things to America. We have that for the past. “
