The lightning struck twice the lucky winner from Maryland, who recently claimed his second prize in the $ 2 million lottery.
An unidentified retired utility worker from Wicomico County, Maryland, won the last grand prize in the $ 30,000 Richer game, worth $ 30, representing his second $ 2 million ticket win, based on the Maryland Lottery.
In the middle of a pandemic, the 65-year-old winner bought two “2,000,000 Richer” tickets while running errands. When he scratched the first ticket, he won $ 100. When he scratched the second ticket, he found he got a lot, says Maryland Lottery.
There is no man because of the pandemic they claim his until recently winning the lottery, reports UPI. Instead, he secured the ticket in his home safe and accepted the prize just days before the deadline.
According to the Maryland lottery, there are no more prizes victory on “$ 2,000,000 Richer” scratch tickets, and the last day to pick up a prize from one of the tickets is November 1st.
“I was a little nervous,” he told Maryland Lottery. “I was worried he might have a fire (at home) that would burn him out so that the ticket could expire and I even had a little doubt that it was really real.”
After the first victory, he used his funds to help fund his retirement and afford the family a vacation, he told lottery officials. After the last victory, he informed officials that he has plans for home improvements and another family vacation.
He warned those hoping to achieve a lot.
“Be realistic and make sure that when you play, you’re not just playing for the big jackpot,” he said, according to lottery officials. “Play for enjoyment and as long as you enjoy what you do, win or lose, you’ve already won.”
