Joel Souza was recently spotted with a handcuff in front of his home as he continues to recover from an accidental shooting at the “Rust” movie scene, injuring him and cameraman Halyna Hutchins dying.
Alec Baldwin rehearsed a scene for a movie on Oct. 21 in which he had to cross-pull a revolver that assistant director Dave Halls convinced was a “cold rifle,” a term used to describe a gun that is safe to handle. Halls took the gun after armored Hannah Gutierrez Reed put it in a wheelchair on set.
Props master Sarah Zachry also handled the gun before the fatal shooting, according to an investigation warrant executed by the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office.

Souza had previously issued a statement to Fox News.
“I am shocked by the loss of my friend and colleague Halyne,” he said. “She was kind, lively, incredibly talented, she fought for every inch and always encouraged me to be better. My thoughts are with her family at this most difficult time.”
“I am humbled and grateful for the outpouring of affection we have received from our film community, the people of Santa Fe and the hundreds of strangers who have come to my aid. … It will certainly help in my recovery.”

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the shooting and says he was “too early“to comment on possible criminal charges at a news conference on Wednesday.
Baldwin spoke publicly for the first time on Saturday during the investigation. “This is an active investigation into the death of a woman who was a friend of mine,” Baldwin said.
“We were a very, very well-oiled team shooting the film together, and then this horrible event happened,” he added.
