Alec Baldwin returned to somewhat normal behavior on Twitter this week, for the first time since filming on set, in which cameraman Halyna Hutchins died.
The day after the incident, Baldwin issued a statement stating that he was cooperating with the authorities in the investigation and expressing his condolences to the Hutchins family. He has been completely silent on social media ever since when he and his wife Hilaria traveled to New England.
On Saturday, Baldwin seemingly returned to normal business on social media, first by praising the costume of the actor and comedian for Halloween Mario Cantone. He then tweeted the thread again the importance of teachers.
Finally, on Saturday night, he returned to commenting on politics in response to political author Kurt Anderson, who asked his followers about examples of other “once great American institutions operating misleadingly under their old names?”

“Federal Government,” Baldwin responded.
He made comments the same day as spoke publicly for the first time about the shooting journalists in New England.
The 63-year-old began by stating that he could not comment on the investigation into Hutchins ’death.

“This is an active investigation into the death of a woman who was my friend,” Baldwin said.
“We were a very, very well-oiled team shooting the film together, and then this horrible event happened,” he added.
Baldwin considered the fatal shooting on set to be “an event in a trillion.”

“Occasionally there are random accidents at film venues, but nothing like that,” he added. “It’s one in a trillion episodes. It’s one in a trillion events.”

Formerly an actor took to Twitter one day after the shooting to share his initial thoughts with the public.
“There are no words to express my shock and grief over the tragic accident that took the lives of Halyne Hutchins, wife, mother and our highly admired co-worker,” he wrote at the time.

“I am fully cooperating with the police investigation in resolving how this tragedy occurred, and I am in contact with her husband and offer support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son and everyone who knew and loved Halyna, ”the actor concluded.

Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza had previously warned that criminal charges are on the table for Baldwin when it comes to investigating Hutchins ’death. However, in later interviews, he also stated that investigators are investigating how the ammunition came to be filmed and into the gun, and who is responsible for this.
