Former President Donald Trump gave his successor, President Joe Biden, a very low grade for his performance so far, just over nine months in office.
The former president was particularly critical of Biden’s handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan during an interview aired on Saturday on “Justice”.
“Well, this is probably the worst presidency in history, I can’t imagine,” he said. “I used to say Jimmy Carter, who’s not a big Bush fan who took us to the Middle East, to be honest. I think this is the worst thing in the history of our country. If you look at Afghanistan and that horrible thing that happened to our nation when these young people were killed and, by the way, so badly wounded. We have more than 20, no arms, no legs. “
“No one ever talks about them, and then they leave $ 85 billion worth of the best military equipment, brand new, most brand new – better than what we have, right out of the box, and they didn’t explode,” Trump continued. “They didn’t blow him up like they said. They made some old planes that weren’t very valuable, no. I think that was the worst – and let me tell you, it’s pretty close already. What is happening at the border is one of the big embarrassments for our country as well. “
Trump told Fox News Channel host Jeanine Pirro that she would give him an “F”.
“I think you have to say F and not F plus,” Trump said. “That would be F. That was a failed administration. It’s a disaster. I’ve never seen anything like it before, and by the way, I wish it would go well for him. You know, I love the country more than anything. Family, God, country, because you know we have to take care of our country. I’d like to see him do well. I don’t think there has ever been a greater embarrassment than management and we had everything ready. It was – we put it on his plate, be it the border or Afghanistan, we came out, but we will come out with great dignity and strength. “
