White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said she tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.

Psaki said va statement she decided on Wednesday not to travel with President Joe Biden after several members of her family tested positive for COVID-19. She said she has been quarantined since then and was negative every day from Wednesday to Saturday before being positive on Sunday.

Psaki last saw Biden on Tuesday as they sat outside, more than six feet apart, wearing masks, her statement said. She also said she had not been in close contact with any senior White House staff since Wednesday.

Psaki, who is vaccinated, said she has mild symptoms and works from home.
