Why satisfy Kendall Jenner or Hadid’s descendant for your next catwalk show when we could have … Macaulay Culkin?
Call it Culkin-aissance because there’s no better time to become part of a famous family. While his brother Kieran plays in the film the most lively drama of the momentMacauly went from a child star to a perfect Gucci model.
Culkin was one of a handful of famous faces who participated in Gucci’s Love Parade, which closed Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles on Tuesday night for the brand’s first personal broadcast since the pandemic.
Culkin appeared on the runway with his inner Richie Rich in a strong combination of a Hawaiian shirt and a shiny floral jacket, while wearing a Gucci signature belt and baggy pants. He complemented the look with shades of orange and black shoes with nails.
In a video taken from the event, Culkin looks more on the runway than at home as he walks down the street with his hands in his pockets.
Conceived as a love letter to Hollywood, creative director Alessandro Michele said WWD that the fashion show was meant to embrace “how much of this brand is tied to cinema,” so the event was, of course, full of celebrities to the brim.
In addition to Culkin, Phoebe Bridgers, Jodie Turner-Smith, St. Vincent, Miranda July, Jeremy Pope and Jared Leto, who happens to appear in the movie “House of Gucci” later this month.
As for the audience, the star fashion extravaganza was attended by Lizzo, Miley Cyrus, Serena Williams, Dakota Johnson, Vanessa Bryant, Diane Keaton, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Olivia Wilde, Salma Hayek and Billie Eilish.
The event was also marked by Gwyneth Paltrow, who stunned in a reworked version of the iconic Gucci red velvet dress she wore at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards.
Culkin seems to have calmed down in public again in recent months after a long hiatus from Hollywood.
The past year has been particularly notable for the ‘Alone at Home’ star, who adopted his first child in April with longtime partner Brenda Song. Culkin also returned to acting after retiring mostly from the profession as a teenager, pull it all out in the new season of “American Horror.”
