I’m A Celebrity has confirmed that Friday night’s show was pre-recorded for safety concerns for the contestant as storm Arwen focuses on Gwrych Castle.

As temperatures dropped well below the average to -4.4C in Lake District on Friday, the met office warned passengers of “flying debris” that is expected to cause chaos on roads, bridges and railroads.
ITV said it was preparing for a severe winter storm, and advised the stars of its show that security measures may need to be taken.
A spokesman for I’m a Celebrity told MailOnline: ‘Show bosses are monitoring storm Arwen and we have prepared contingencies to cover all weather scenarios.’
Meanwhile, local Diana Pritchard, a retired dental assistant who lives with her husband Ian near the castle, said: “We have been warned that the storm will last for nine hours from midnight and will be completely awful.
‘I hope they take care of the celebrities up there. It will be quite cold, windy and wet, and who knows what the storm will do to the trees and the structure of the walls around the castle. ‘

“But I wouldn’t want to be up there in that castle. They will definitely not fall asleep.
‘I’ve watched the show and they seem pretty grumpy with low morale. I wonder what that will do to them.
‘In terms of spirit, it won’t help them. But I’ll probably make a good TV. The show was not so good this year because no one knows who most of the people are, but the storm in the castle will be very dramatic. ‘
