Should shaving be preferred as a way to remove hair?

Shaving is a generally accepted method of hair removal for all genders. Many women believe that after shaving, hair grows more or thicker, which is a myth. When shaving, do not pull the hair out of the root, unlike waxing or threading. So when it grows, it grows with a little stubble and you feel it getting thicker, ”says Dr. Sharad.

There are ways to shave so you don’t have ingrown or folliculitis, bumps or boils, reveals Dr. Sharad. Let’s start with things.

1. Remove all makeup and clean your face or any part of your body. In case it’s not your face, make sure you gently cleanse or exfoliate the skin to prepare it for shaving.

2. Make sure your razor is completely clean. Use a disposable shaver and blade, or sterilize it well if you use it again. Immerse it in hot water for at least 20 minutes before use.

3. Shave in the direction of hair growth. Soak in the gel, stretch the skin and do it. This will help you to shave more accurately with minimal irritation.

4. After shaving, clean with an antibacterial cream or moisturizer.

5. Keep the shaver in a clean and dry place. You don’t want your razor to be the center of fungal or infection buildup.

Here are some things you MUST keep in mind when using a razor:

1. Do not shave dry. Always use a shaving cream, preferably one that has no fragrance.

2. Do not shave very close to the skin as this can cause injury.

3. Do not use a non-sterile blade / razor as it may cause a bacterial infection of the hair follicle. In addition, if the shaving cream is old and contaminated, it can cause folliculitis.

Last words

“You can also bleach, but be careful not to let the bleach work for more than 10 minutes, as you don’t want burns or rashes to appear. Bleaching is a good idea only once every two months. I don’t like waxing or threading on my face, especially now that you can end up with folliculitis, ”concludes dr. Sharad.
