The 53-year-old actor has become a companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George – the same gong the famous spy agent received in the novels of Ian Fleming.

Daniel played the fictional Bond spy from 2006 to this year, and his latest film No Time To Die came out on September 30th.
In the book From Russia with Love, the leader of the spy states that 007 “was awarded the CMG in 1953, an award that is usually awarded only upon retirement from the Secret Service.”
Daniel’s honor recognizes service in a foreign country or in relation to foreign and Commonwealth affairs.
