The number of Covid-19 cases has skyrocketed in recent days, and let’s just say the new version of Omicron gives us all sleepless nights. As of January 9, 2022 alone, more than 170,000 new cases have been reported. Now let’s say this is cause for alarm. Although your symptoms may be mild, the viral infection is spreading like wildfire – again! So what do we need to do and how can we ensure that our recovery is smooth and flawless?

5 things to do if you have Covid-19
1. Steam regularly
This is a hint we have been listening to since the first wave of Covid-19 hit us in 2020. Yangda advises adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil, mint leaves or even carambola seeds to the water. This helps with destroys viruses and bacteria in the local region.
2. Take regular showers
Also, make sure you tie a few eucalyptus and neem leaves to your shower head and take a shower three times a day, Jangda says. This helps kill any bacteria or viruses that may survive in your sweat glands.
3. Sterilize the air at home
Place a bouquet of eucalyptus and neem leaves around the house to sterilize the air.
4. Strengthen your immunity
Make sure that include turmeric, asafetido, locust bean seeds, cumin seeds and garlic in your diet to boost immunity to the virus.
According to a study published in the Journal of General Virology, curcumin can prevent infection of cells with a coronavirus of the alpha group that infects pigs called transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV). If consumed regularly, it can also kill viral particles.
5. Include vitamins C and D.
Jangda advises patients to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to get their dose vitamin C and D. Stock up on mandarins, oranges, apples, coriander, celery, lemons, spinach, curry leaves and moringa.

- For a quick recovery, ensure a well-balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, legumes, legumes, and whole grains.
