Clint Arlis, who played in the 11th season of the hit show for dating The girl died at the age of 34, his friend confirmed.
The muscular star was featured in the ABC franchise in 2015 alongside Kaitlyn Bristowe, and the cause of his death is currently unknown.
His death was announced on Twitter a family friend of Scott Bayer, who knew the star after wrestling at Batavia High School in Illinois.
Scott posted Clint’s paintings and wrote: “With a heavy heart and a sense of deep loss, we announce the death of one of the giants of the Batavia Wrestling Program of all time, a 2005 graduate, Clint Arlis.
“Clint was the beloved son of coach Tom Arlis and his wife Jamie, the protective, loving older brother of his sister Taylor and a childhood idol and best friend of his younger brother, coach Logan Arlis.”
He continued to share a series of sincere tweets with the words: “His legacy of a fierce competitor, tireless worker, caring influence on younger Batavian wrestlers, a devoted friend and loving son and brother will resonate in our presence far beyond his days.
“On behalf of all of us in the Batavia Wrestling family, we extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to the Arlis family in this period of unimaginable heartbeat and grief.”
He added: “I have met Clint over the years since joining Tom’s coaching staff and the Batavia Wrestling family in the late autumn of 2005, after his graduation.
“I found him to be extremely committed to his family and deeply committed to wrestling at a level few few of us have achieved in our careers.”
While on The Bachelorette, Clint was portrayed as the show’s villain alongside fellow contestant JJ Lane. After only three weeks, he was expelled.
Star of Bachelor Nation Nick Viall described Clint in an emotional tribute on Twitter as “a very kind, unique and talented person who has been taken from this world far too quickly”.
Illinois Wrestling also tweeted, “We are incredibly sad to hear about the death of former Illinois wrestler Clint Arlis.
“Our thoughts are with Clint’s family and friends at this heartbreaking time. We will miss you, Clint.”
Fans of the star also paid their respects on social media.
One Twitter user wrote, “So very shocking, sad …. he’s so young, he’s leaving soon …. rip Clint Arlis”
Another wrote, “Clint Arlis was and will always remain in my memory one of the kindest and most genuine souls I have ever met.”
