Virat Kohli and his India the parties were strongly condemned for their behavior during the third test against South Africa following a controversial decision by the DRS.

South African captain Dean Elgar won the LBW in bowling Ravi Ashwin, but the decision was overturned after a review, and HawkEye hinted that the ball would go over the hive.

The decision did not suit India, as Captain Kohli, Ashwin and Vice-Captain KL Rahul all expressed their dissatisfaction and targeted the host television station SuperSport.

“Focus on your team while shining the ball,” Kohli said directly into the microphone. “Not just the opposition. He’s trying to catch people all the time.”

Rahul then said, “The whole country is against 11 guys,” before Ashwin added, “I should find better ways to win, SuperSport.”

The former England captain responded to the incident Michael Vaughan called India’s behavior “shameful” and called on the ICC to “burn” Kohli and co.

“I think it’s a shame for Indians personally,” Vaughan said Fox Sports. “Decisions go with you, they go against you, it didn’t go the way they think it should go.

“Virat Kohli is a legend of the game, but that’s not how he behaves, that’s not how he behaves in a Test match cricket game.

“The ICC has to start this, the Indian side has to start, you can’t avoid speaking through a microphone like Ravi Ashwin and the Indian captain did.”

Former South African international Daryll Cullinan has also been critical of India’s behavior, arguing that Kohli “withdrew for too long with“ unacceptable ”behavior.

Conversation with ESPNcricinfo, Cullinan said: “This is a typical Virat untouchable, it behaves the way it wants to behave.

“The rest of the cricket world is just bowing to Virat. The power is India. I hate to say it, but it’s been happening for years.

“It’s just a big contempt for India and everyone who plays for India. They’re untouchable, so everyone will laugh.

“I adore Virat Kohli, I adore his cricket, I like the way he plays. But somewhere a line has to be drawn to say ‘wait, you have to be severely punished’.”

“If anything, it was a mistake. I just can’t believe they could have thought in that direction.

“Virat has retreated for too long with behavior that is unacceptable on the cricket field. But he’s Kohli and I don’t like that, frankly.”
