The Tesco supermarket has launched a new four-fold strong fruit pumpkin that is more concentrated and saves plastic, but customers say it “burns” and is “radioactive”.
Tesco’s new four-fold fruit pumpkin is so powerful that parents said it burns their children’s skin, and one person even called it “radioactive”.
Last month, the supermarket put a new dessert with 12 flavors on its shelves, which replaced the previous double-strength drink.
Tesco sold it as a stronger drink in a smaller bottle for the purpose of cutting plastic and it just needed to be diluted more.
And the new squash with four times the power is not only better for the planet, but also for the pocket.
If diluted according to the guidelines on the packaging, each serving costs only 1.8 p, compared to the price of 2 p per serving of a classic double-strength bottle.
But many people were not happy with the new squash option and argued that its fourfold power causes skin irritation.
“My nephew couldn’t drink it because his mouth started tingling. To put it mildly, it is radioactive, “wrote Melissa Kent.
Similar comments were made by one mother, who said, “Has anyone else burned tesco squash quadruple power squash?”
And Sheila Howell says she was told to seek medical attention after her three-year-old grandson received undiluted heart medication on her skin.
She claimed: “His skin turned bright red and it took more than an hour for him to come down. He was in some discomfort. I wonder what happens to your insides when you drink this. “
But at Tesco, they said there was nothing unusually strong about the new heart and that “nothing shows” that the new stronger variety could cause any damage.
Tesco, reports The sun, said: “If properly diluted, our pumpkin with four times the power is the same strength as our other pumpkin products.
“If we eat it undiluted or incorrectly diluted, it will be stronger. However, there is no indication that this could cause any damage. The dilution instructions shall be clearly visible on the label. “
