Eric Clapton claimed that anyone who took the Covid vaccine was a victim ‘crowd formation hypnosis’.

The 76-year-old singer had previously claimed to have had worrying side effects, according to him AstraZeneca jabs and in 2020 released the anti-lockdown single Stand And Deliver with Van Morrison.

In a new interview for The Real Music Observer YouTube channelEric argued that this subconscious message, hidden in advertising, led to people getting hit.

A different view: Eric Clapton claimed that anyone who took Covid was a victim of “crowd formation hypnosis”

He said, ‘Whatever the record was, it didn’t come to me. Then I started to realize he was really a memo and a guy, Mattias Desmet [professor of clinical psychology at Ghent University in Belgium], talked about it.

‘And it’s great. Theory of mass formation hypnosis. And that’s when I was able to see it. When I kind of started looking for him, I saw him everywhere.

“Then I remembered seeing little things on YouTube that were like subconscious advertising. This has been going on for a long time: that thing about “you won’t own anything and you’ll be happy.”

And I thought, “What does that mean?” And gradually I put together a rough puzzle. And that made me even more determined. ‘

The psychosis of mass formation – an attempt to hypnotize groups of people to follow messages against their will – has been widely discredited by scientists.

Asked why he even felt called to speak, Clapton explained: “My career is almost over anyway. By the time I spoke, it had been almost 18 months since I had been forcibly retired.

I joined forces with Van and got a hint that Van was sticking to the action, and I thought, “why isn’t anyone else doing this,” so I contacted him.

He said, “I’m really just opposed. But it seems we shouldn’t even do that. And no one else is doing it.”

‘He sent me Stand and Deliver, which he had already recorded. And when I talked about it with another musician, got excited and shared the news, I found that no one wanted to hear it.

What are some common side effects of Covid?

Like all medicines, Covid vaccines can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Most side effects are mild and should not last longer than one week, such as:

  • sore arm due to injection
  • feeling tired
  • headache
  • feeling of pain
  • feeling or feeling sick

One or two days after vaccination, you may also get a high temperature or a feeling of heat or shaking. If necessary, you can take painkillers such as paracetamol. If your symptoms worsen or you are worried, call 111.

If you have a high fever that lasts longer than two days, a new continuous cough, or a loss or change in your sense of smell or taste, you may have Covid. Stay home and take the test.

You cannot get Covid with the vaccine, but you may have gotten sick just before or after vaccination.

‘I was confused, I felt like I was the only person who found it exciting or even appropriate. I’m cut out of fabric and if you tell me I can’t do something, I really want to know why.

‘My family and friends got scared and I think they got scared on my behalf.’

Clapton added that he also stopped following the news because of “one-way traffic on command and obedience,” which motivated him musically.

After expressing his views, the author of the bestseller Wonderful Tonight – who is the father of daughters Ruth, 37, Julie, 20, Ella, 19, and 16-year-old Sophie – said: “My family and friends think I’m crazy anyway.

“A lot has disappeared in the last year – a lot of dust around, people have moved away quickly.

‘For me, it perfected the friendship I have. And that has diminished to the people I obviously really need and love.

“In my family, this has become quite crucial … I have teenagers and an older girl who is thirty years old – and they all had to give me room to maneuver because I couldn’t convince any of them.”

Clapton, who is married to Melio McEnery, added: “I would try to get in touch with fellow musicians and sometimes I just don’t advertise.

‘My phone doesn’t ring very often. I don’t get that many messages and emails anymore. ‘

Clapton has been publishing anti-vaccination and anti-lockout statements and poems for months.

In December 2020, Clapton joined fellow classic rocker, who became the antivaxxer Van in his song Stand and Deliver.

The song contains lyrics, including: “Do you want to be a free man / Do you want to be a slave?” and ‘Dick Turpin also wore a mask.’

Clapton had previously described in detail the ‘catastrophic’ experience with the AstraZeneca vaccine, which he blamed on ‘propaganda’ for pressuring him.

The musician continued to reveal that he suffers from “peripheral neuropathy and should never approach a needle.”

In a message to his music producer, he said: “I received the first hit of AZ [AstraZeneca] and he immediately had severe reactions lasting ten days. ‘

The 76-year-old said he “recovered over time”, but experienced further “catastrophic reactions” six weeks later after the second shot.

He added: “My hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning and almost useless for two weeks, I was afraid I would never play again …

“I should never approach the needle. But the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone. ‘

Clapton spoke of his decision: “My career is almost over anyway. At the point I spoke, it had been almost 18 months since I was forcibly retired.
