Prince Philip’s funeral wishes will finally be fulfilled in a relocation supervised by the Queen

The Duke became the Chief Colonel of the Cadet Forces of the Army in 1953 and was especially proud of his influence in changing the lives of young people through practical programs.

He also hoped to include some of his active role in running the royal estates of Windsor, Sandringham and Balmoral, represented by three of the Queen’s native chaplains – one from each estate – who will pray.

While the Duke’s funeral service was held without the praises of the Congregation, and singing was forbidden under prison rules, the 1800-member Congregation will be invited to sing Lead Me, O so-called great Savior.

The anthem was part of a funeral plan made before Covid, codenamed “Forth Bridge”at the duke’s special request.

The Duke also asked the choir to sing Te Deum and C by Benjamin Britten. The eclectic music list will feature a moving Pacific theme by Blake Neely and Hans Zimmer, compiled for a television mini-series about American marinas fighting in the Pacific during World War II.

The final piece of music, The Seafarers, will play The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Portsmouth as guests leave Westminster Abbey.

The service will be sung by the choirs of Westminster Abbey and Her Majesty’s Royal Chapel, St. Paul’s Palace. James.

The dean of Westminster, The Very Reverend David Hoyle, will lead the service and make an offer, describing the late Duke as “a man of rare ability and honor, justifiably honored and celebrated, who once diverted our attention from himself”.
