West Midlands police have called on anyone who may have seen the quarrel to get in touch.
A West Midlands police spokesman said: “We are investigating an altercation that took place at a bar on Edmund Street in Birmingham at 5.30am on April 3.”

Police closed Edmund Street in central Birmingham after a fight in the early hours of the morning.
They added: “Two men were taken to hospital.
“One suffered minor injuries and has since been discharged from the hospital. However, the other man, aged 29, remains in the hospital in serious condition.
“A scene is taking place during the investigation and review of CCTV.
