Former Formula One supremacist Bernie Ecclestone said he would “take the bullet” for Russian President Vladimir Putin and describe him as a “first-class man”.
Mr Ecclestone was asked on ITV’s Good Morning Britain if he still saw Mr Putin as a friend, to which he replied: “I would still take the bullet for him. I’d rather it didn’t hurt, but if he did, I’d still take a bullet because he is a first-class man. “
“What he’s doing is something he believed was the right thing to do for Russia.”
“Unfortunately, like a lot of business people, certainly like me, we make mistakes from time to time. When you make a mistake, you have to do everything you can to get out of it.”
“I think if it was done correctly, I mean another person in Ukraine, I mean, his profession, I understand, sometimes he was a comedian.”
“I think it seems like he wants to pursue this profession, because I think if I were to think about things, I would definitely try hard enough to talk to Mr Putin, who is a reasonable person and would listen to him and I could probably what did he do about it. “
