A British couple in their 80s have been found dead while swimming in the pool at their holiday home in the south France the night before.
They were discovered by neighbors who were supposed to come to dinner at the home of the husband and wife in Gignac, Hérault.
When they arrived, no one answered the door, so they entered the couple’s second home and found both bodies floating in the pool, French media France Bleu reports.

Emergency services attended the incident, but none of the English travelers could be saved.
The couple are said to visit their luxury holiday home in the Occitania region of France several times a year.
They said they are very friendly people and sometimes participate in activities in the town.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
It is believed that there was no break-in and there was no theft.
The theory is that one of the couple witnessed his spouse drowning and that when he came to their aid, he also drowned, a source close to the investigation told the French news outlet. La Dépêche.
