Some women can cheer themselves up after a sad breakup by splurging on an expensive pair of shoes or a designer handbag.
Jerry Hall has a hole in his pocket from his £250m divorce settlement and has bigger ambitions.
I hear Texas model and now ex-Mrs Rupert Murdochis looking at real estate in Tinseltown.
Hall, 66, was spotted checking out empty stores in West Hollywood. Dressed in a baby blue jacket with navy trousers and carrying a tan handbag, the former Rolling stones singer sir Mick Jagger is pictured inspecting the former antiques showroom, which is on the market for around £6million.
Hall, wearing brown sunglasses, admired the 6,000-square-foot location from outside, peered through the windows and snapped a few photos on her phone. She then wrote down the details of the realtor who was in charge of the property before she left.
The building was the main showroom of John Nelson Antiques, which was established in 1965. The property was put on the market earlier this year.

The company sold high-end European antiques, chandeliers and accessories around the world. It is not clear why Hall would be interested in buying the commercial property. Her spokesman declined to comment.
Hall, who has four children from her 23-year relationship with Jagger, split from Murdoch, 91, after he ended their marriage by email in June.
She filed for divorce in July in Los Angeles, and Murdoch was served with the papers as he boarded a plane in the UK after attending his granddaughter’s wedding.
The deal was struck quickly and announced last month.
A joint statement confirmed the split, saying: ‘They remain good friends and wish each other the best in the future.’

Hall was first spotted with Murdoch in 2015, and the pair married in 2016 on Fleet Street in London.
According to sources, the divorce settlement will award her two houses and up to £250 million. However, insiders close to the four-times-married Murdoch insist the figure is closer to £50m.
Hall was seen in good spirits last month as she landed in Los Angeles from Farnborough, Hampshire, with her daughter Georgia May Jagger, 30. They were seen disembarking from Murdoch’s Gulfstream jet, suggesting the pair remain on friendly terms.
Joss Stone: I miss Harry
Pop star Joss Stone regrets losing touch with Prince Harry.
The 35-year-old Devon-raised singer became so involved with Sentebale, an organization co-founded by the Duke of Sussex to help African orphans, that she traveled to the continent to see its projects.
“I went to Lesotho for Harry’s charity,” she says. ‘I like this one and got into it. I hope to see him again one day.”

Brian May relives his day of royal angst
Queen guitarist Brian May recalls being terrified when he played God Save The Queen live solo on the roof of Buckingham Palace during the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebrations – and breaking royal protocol when she didn’t recognize him afterwards.
‘It was very, very intimidating,’ she admits of the live TV performance in 2002.'[I thought] if I screw up God Save The Queen in front of a billion people [on TV]I will be who I am [remembered] for the rest of his life—the guy who messed up.”
Fortunately, he didn’t – and a few weeks later he was presented to the monarch alongside fellow guitar legends Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck.
‘There was silence. And of course, protocol says you’re not supposed to start a conversation with the monarch, but I thought someone had to say something.
“So I said, ‘I’m very pleased to meet you, ma’am – I’m the guy who stood on your roof.’ And she said, ‘Oh, that was you, wasn’t it?’ ‘
Her Majesty nevertheless invited him to her platinum jubilee.
The TV adventurer who was dropped on his feet by a scooter
He has walked the Nile and the Himalayas and was part of the Iraqi troops fighting ISIS, but Levison Wood was defeated by a scooter.
I hear the TV adventurer, 40, is recovering from serious injuries in a car accident overseas.
“Second time in emergency care this year and not the way I expected to end my holiday in Greece,” laments the former army officer. “Still, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m thankful for that at least.

‘Broken tibia and ankle which required major surgery so this will be my third limb filled with metal. Children, don’t use skiros on vacation.’
Dashing Wood told me a while ago that he struggles in the frightening world of modern dating. He added: ‘I’m looking for a woman with a sense of adventure and fun – I’m not shallow.’
We never heard it in public, but the Queen was a talented impressionist.
Sir William Heseltine, her longtime personal secretary, says she was “a great imitator”.
She has done impressions of everyone from former Russian president Boris Yeltsin to the Middlesbrough-tinged maid who discovered intruder Michael Fagan in the royal bedroom in 1982: “Ooh bloody lady, what are you doing here?”
Princess surprise for MP
As an MP and, until last week, a minister, Greg Hands visited many schools.
Each time at least one child asked if he had met the queen. “I once turned the board around and asked the class if any of them had met the Queen,” he reveals.
Everyone raised their hands. It wasn’t until much later that I noticed Princess Charlotte was in the class.’
The seven-year-old was a pupil at Thomas’s School in Battersea, London, before starting at Lambrook Preparatory School in Berkshire last week.
Oscar winner Ben Kingsley is playing Salvador Dali in a new movie, and I hear the movie is already in trouble before it’s even released.
The creators of Daliland, due out this week, are being threatened with a lawsuit by the Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation over its historical accuracy.
A spokesman for the filmmakers insists they have not had to speak to anyone as it “does not include copyrighted material”.
