Speaking on the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, she said: “I’m kind of curious that there’s so much noise about the bus, I don’t think the bus warrants too much noise. When we came here for CHOGM [Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting] we used buses for transportation… it’s just logical. We are very practical people.”

Ardern was one of the first world leaders to pay her respects in London on Friday. She is also believed to be the longest traveler, flying 11,000 miles to attend a funeral.

FCDO provides shared transportation for almost all participants in order to control time and maintain the safety of the event.

Plans mean that there is the most in the world important political and royal figures they will have to share transport in their respective countries to reach the service for the late Queen.
