Stamp duty cuts could be among the measures confirmed by Liz Truss in Friday’s mini-budget as her government looks to boost economic growth.

The Prime Minister, who is currently visiting New York for the United Nations General Assembly, yesterday hinted at tax cuts across the board.

And reports in the Times overnight suggested that stamp duty – which was temporarily reduced for residential properties during the Covid pandemic – is among the taxes being considered.
