Oleksandr Usik he joked that he would not be watching the heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua if the fight materializes.

Usyk retained the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight belts last month. exposed Joshua for the second time in 11 months, while also remaining undefeated. The Ukrainian was expected to face WBC titleholder Fury to crown the undisputed champion, but the Briton’s preferred fight date will come too soon for Usyk.

As such, Fury has now turned his attention to compatriot Joshua, with a long-awaited All-British showdown between the two on the cards for December.

“Well, if they sign a contract, they’ll be hitting each other for a while,” Usyk said in an interview with USYK17 YouTube channel. “But everyone is expecting Usyk vs. Fury.

“I’m not going to support either of them, I’m not even going to watch this fight – I don’t want to,” the 35-year-old continued, adding: “Okay, just kidding.”

Usyk expressed his desire to fight Deontay Wilder if the American is able to overcome Robert Helenius in October.

Wilder has not competed since facing Fury in a trilogy fight last October. Fury won the fight by stoppage, just as he defeated Wilder by TKO in their second meeting in 2020. Prior to those bouts, the two heavyweights fought to a controversial draw in 2018.

Southpaw Usyk remains undefeated as a professional, having previously reigned as the sole undisputed cruiserweight champion over a four-belt period before dethroning Joshua in September 2021 with a points victory.
