Anand says, “Observe your thoughts and behavior so you can become more objective and make better decisions. By gaining self-awareness, you can better understand yourself and even others.” Additionally, start seeking feedback from other individuals to gain a fresh perspective.

Keeping emotions inside can be a challenge, and even constantly expressing them can cause problems. Anand says, “One must learn how to rationalize one’s emotions in such a way that balance can be achieved and more rational decisions can be made.”

4. Learn to deal with negativity

Being in a negative state of mind or situation can hinder decision making. If you feel overwhelmed by negative feelings, it is important to take care of yourself and take some time to relax or do something that makes you happy. “Analyze the situation and find positive ways to deal with the negativity,” says Dr. Anand.
