1. Get perspective on yourself

Self-perception refers to imagining what your thoughts and feelings would be like if you were in the other person’s shoes. Developing your own perspective helps you become mature. Anand says, “Observe your thoughts and behavior so you can become more objective and make better decisions. By gaining self-awareness, you can better understand yourself and even others.” Additionally, start seeking feedback from other individuals to gain a fresh perspective.

2. Try to take control of your emotions

Keeping emotions inside can be a challenge, and even constantly expressing them can cause problems. However, expressing all of your emotions can put you in a vulnerable place where people will judge you and think that you can’t control your emotions. This can affect your mental health. dr. Anand says, “One must learn how to rationalize one’s emotions in such a way that balance can be achieved and more rational decisions can be made.”

Taking care of your health by making healthy lifestyle choices will reduce dissatisfaction. Anand also says, “Physical and mental health go hand in hand for a successful and meaningful life. Better health provides the motivation and strength needed to overcome difficult situations and find solutions.” Remember, better health can help you make better decisions.

4. Learn to deal with negativity

Being in a negative state of mind or situation can hinder decision making. If you feel overwhelmed by negative feelings, it is important to take care of yourself and take some time to relax or do something that makes you happy. “Analyze the situation and find positive ways to deal with the negativity,” says Dr. Anand. In such situations, meditation and yoga can help. Cognitive restructuring it is also a better way to change your thoughts to reduce negative thoughts.
