The son of legendary professional wrestler Kevin Nash has died at the age of 26.
Nash and his wife, Tamara, announced in a statement released Thursday that their son, Tristen, had died.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com released a statement on Twitter on behalf of the Nash family.
“On behalf of Kevin and Tamara Nash, I am saddened to announce that their son Tristen Nash has tragically passed away at the age of 26,” he posted.
“Tristen recently started working on Kevin’s new podcast and the two have been enjoying their time together.
“The Nash family asks that you please respect their privacy during this time.”
The statement did not provide a cause of death or other details.
Nash, 63, wrestled under the name Diesel in the 1990s and was WWF Champion from November 1994 to November 1995.
Tristen is said to be the only son of Kevin and Tamara Nash. The death came months after Nash’s longtime friend and wrestling partner, Scott Hall, also passed away.
