‘Russian bombs’ kill two in POLAND: Explosions hit border town sparking emergency meetings in NATO country

  • BREAKING: More to follow

Two people were killed in Poland after explosions hit a farm near the border with Ukraine in what was believed to be a failed Russian missile attack.

Two explosions were reported in Przewodów, a rural village less than ten miles from the Ukrainian border in southwestern Poland.

A senior US intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the deadly explosions were caused by two unusual Russian missiles.

It follows a report by Polish radio station ZET, which also claimed two stray missiles hit Polish soil, without giving further details.

The explosions came as Moscow launched new missile strikes across Ukraine today in what Kyiv said were the worst wave of missile attacks in nearly nine months of war.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called an emergency meeting of the government committee for national security and defense affairs due to this news, a government spokesman said.

Polish government spokesman Piotr Mueller did not immediately confirm US intelligence reports of the missile strike, but said top leaders were holding an emergency meeting due to “crisis situations”.

Poland is a NATO member that maintains a “collective defense policy,” meaning that an attack on one country in the security bloc is an attack on all.
