The Qatar 2022 World Cup finally started, with England start the campaign with Victory over Iran with 6:2.
The BBC landed on two England three World Cup group matches, incl wiring against Iran on Monday, the second day of the tournament. The BBC has also secured the broadcast rights opening ceremony.
In a final share among free-to-air broadcasters, ITV showed the second match against USAand a potential round of 16 and quarter-final.
For more than 50 years, terrestrial channels have negotiated with each other over the share of coverage of major tournaments, and ITV is expected to be the first choice this year.
The England-Wales group stage match will be on the BBC, but the corporation would then wait until the semi-finals to show another potential Three Lions match. ITV will also cover the USA vs Wales November 21.
The BBC also has Spain v Germany on November 27.
After Iran, England wants to beat the USA in va World Cup final match at the third attempt, after a shock defeat in 1950 and a draw in the 2010 final in South Africa. This match is scheduled to start on November 25 at 19:00 (GMT).
England’s third leg against the winner of the delayed European play-off kicks off on November 29 at 7pm (GMT).
