Regragui and the president of the Moroccan Football Association, Faouzi Lekjaa, became Commanders of the Order of the Throne, a second-class honor bestowed by the King.

The actors were joined at the event by their mothers, their celebrations on the pitch during the tournament were shown around the world.

Morocco was defeated by Croatia 2:1 in the playoff for third place, with coach Regragui expressed pride in his team’s drive.

“Before the tournament, we had a 0.01 percent chance of making it, and we made it to the last four,” Regragui said.
