Andrew Tate blames “the insanity of the ruling elite” while preparing an appeal for his arrest.

Tate tweeted again after the arrest: “It seems the insanity of the ruling elite has now been exposed worldwide. They have one command, do not speak loudly, behave like sheep.”

Tate was arrested as part of an investigation that alleges that he, his brother and two Romanian nationals formed a gang that recruited victims by “misrepresenting their intention to enter into a marriage/cohabitation relationship and the existence of genuine feelings of love.” , a conspiracy known as the “loverboy” method.

Romanian authorities with the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism claimed that victims housed by the gang were forced to perform pornography “through physical violence and psychological coercion”.

The initial detention period was extended from 24 hours to 30 days while authorities investigated the claims, a period appealed by Tate’s lawyer, Eugen Constantin Vidineac.

He said: “From our point of view, there is no basis … for taking this most drastic preventive measure.”
