Prince Harry CONFIRMS he watches The Crown and has seen episodes showing Diana and Charles’ divorce

Although Harry didn’t confirm which episodes he watched and which he didn’t, his revelation that he saw both ‘the older stuff and the newer stuff’ suggests that he was privy to at least a small portion of that content.

It is understood that the upcoming season of the show will also feature graphic depictions of Diana’s death, with on-set pictures revealing a horrific re-enactment of the car crash in Paris that claimed her life and a recreation of her funeral, which Harry and William famously walked for her coffin.

Netflix has it insisted that the ‘exact moment’ of the crash would not be revealed in the controversial drama, but photos show the series will capture in gruesome detail the moments leading up to the fatal collision.

Exclusive pictures published by the Daily Mail in October showed footage of the Mercedes-Benz – which is an identical replica of the vehicle Diana was riding in when she died – just 100 meters away from the Pont de l’Alma tunnel, where the crash occurred in the early hours of August 31, 1997.

Netflix has come under fire for its plans to dramatize the hours leading up to the crash, with reports that even suggest that The Crown crew members were left up in arms over the apparent decision to have actress Elizabeth Debicki lie in an open coffin pretending to be the dead Princess Diana.

Harry has not revealed whether he is aware of the information – or whether he plans to watch the dramatic retelling of his mother’s tragic death on the streaming platform and indeed his own struggle to cope.

But the Duke of Sussex’s laughing admission that he watches the show suggests he has no intention of joining the growing ranks of critics who have slammed the ‘cruel’ portrayal of the royal family.

In fact, the only comment the father-of-two has made about The Crown in the past came during an interview with another late-night host — his close friend James Corden — to whom he actually defended the series.
