The Princess of Wales showed off her thrifty style choices once again, recycling a pair of earrings to attend an event in central London tonight.

Kate Middleton, 41, wore a stunning pair of £75 earrings from CHALK’s ‘Regency’ collection to launch her Shaping Us early years campaign tonight. BAFTA.

CHALK is a London-based design studio led by architect Malaika offering quirky, geometric, wearable designs.

The 41-year-old Princess of Wales (pictured) once again wore a pair of CHALK regency earrings, worth £75, to tonight’s BAFTAs in London.

CHALK’s website says of the earrings: ‘The regal shapes of ornate detailing and geometry found in the ceiling of the Royal Opera House Main Stage Auditorium have been reimagined through this collaboration to create a timeless collection.’

Kate teamed the stunning earrings with a crimson monochrome outfit – a tailored red trouser suit with matching heels and a clutch. Her Alexander McQueen gown exuded elegance with a leg-lengthening silhouette crafted from Italian red crepe.

She wore this outfit when she attended the launch of her Shaping Us early years campaign, which aims to increase public understanding of the crucial importance of the first five years of a child’s life.

The campaign, led by The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, aims to “transform the topic from one of scientific interest to one of the most strategically important topics of our time”.

The king had worn earrings before to a series of engagements held to celebrate Windrush Day in June 2022.

On this occasion, she also combined jewelry with an Alexander McQueen dress.

She recycled the £1,370 Alexander McQueen white blazer she wore in Jamaica on her Caribbean tour and teamed it with £590 crepe trousers and a small white Mulberry Amberley shoulder bag.

Tonight’s BAFTA event, hosted by Kate Silverton, featured short speeches from the Princess of Wales, Amanda Berry, chief executive of the Royal Foundation, and campaign manager Rochelle Humes.

They played a short film that shed light on how babies and children develop in response to their earliest experiences.

The screening was followed by a question-and-answer discussion between Eamon McCrory, Professor of Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology at University College London, and Dr. Guddi Singh, pediatrician and health activist.

Following the speeches, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended a drinks reception with campaign stakeholders, including members of The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood Advisory Group and representatives from the early childhood sector.

The princess spoke about the campaignletter published in yesterday’s Mail on Sunday in which she set out her plan to ‘Shape Us’.

She penned the impassioned plea on her laptop as she prepared to launch the campaign, which begins with a week of advertising, including tonight’s BAFTAs.

In her letter, the princess explained that ‘as a society we currently spend far more of our time and energy on later life,’ adding: ‘I am absolutely determined that this long-term campaign will change that.’
