Quoting Mr de Bretton-Gordon’s tweet, Kira Rudik, a Ukrainian MP, said she was “inspired by the images of the Ukrainian flag at Westminster Abbey for the coronation of King Charles” and tweeted blue and yellow heart emojis.

Royal Central editor-in-chief Charlie Proctor also spotted the yellow and blue carpets, tweeting: “(Almost) Ukrainian flag at Westminster Abbey.”
