Cinnamon for thicker hair
Cinnamon or dal-chini is a versatile spice rich in antioxidants and other beneficial compounds that offers a wealth of health benefits. Kapoor says that cinnamon is not only good for managing sinus infections and inflammation, but even for hair problems. Packed with vital nutrients, procyanidin in cinnamon stimulates hair follicles and helps them grow faster. It also helps with hair loss. Studies have shown that cinnamon can help hair loss control and helps prevent baldness. It also contains antioxidant and antimicrobial properties and even polyphenols, which act as natural antioxidants and help with hair growth. Antimicrobial properties can also prevent scalp infections.
A study published in Karger International found that procyanidin in cinnamon can have a positive effect on hair growth. A dermatologist recommends using cinnamon in hair oil. It contains cinnamaldehyde, which dilates blood vessels and accelerates blood circulation to the scalp and gives shiny hair. It also contains antifungal properties that help protect the scalp and hair from free radical damage and inflammation and prevents dandruff.

There are two ways you can use cinnamon to stimulate hair growth and help it grow thicker. Here are two cinnamon hair masks for thicker hair recommended by Dr. Kapoor:

Be careful how much cinnamon you use
If you are convinced that cinnamon can do wonders for your hair, you can try it. But before that, be sure to check with your doctor before trying any new home remedy. How much cinnamon you use is also important.
Although cinnamon has been shown to be effective for hair growth and overall hair health, it should be used in moderation. Any product that you use in excess can cause more harm than good. Follow your doctor’s instructions and do not exceed the dosage recommended by the specialist.
Before using the masks all over your hair, do a patch test first. Also, don’t forget to consult your doctor first.
