A doctor has revealed exactly why you shouldn’t eat in bed, putting thousands of his followers to shame.
Dr. Sam, from Singaporeloves gross doctor stories and elaborate eating in the bedroom, making you a perfect candidate for a German cockroach infestation.
And don’t mean ‘your house’.
The Tik Tok The famous doctor explained that the little cockroaches are attracted to the smell of earwax and love nothing more than living in a warm, moist environment – such as the ear canal.
The only thing they need is food. And if you eat in bed, the leftovers are enough.

Dr Sam revealed why he doesn’t eat in bed
“Cockroaches use it as a base for midnight runs for food,” the doctor explained.
He told the story of a 24-year-old man from China who had a family of ten cockroaches in his ear.
The young man “had a habit of leaving unfinished packages of food by the bed”, explained the doctor.
One night he woke up with a sharp pain in his ear.
When his family looked, they were horrified to find a cockroach peering at them.
“He was causing a lot of discomfort because he was crawling and scratching inside,” he said.

The doctor said it’s important to never try to remove a cockroach yourself – because you can do more damage than the insect.
Instead, always have the bug or family of bugs removed by a doctor.
Dr Sam added that other bugs can also take up residence in your ear and that there are similar medical stories from many different countries.
His announcement sent his fans into a frenzy and he certainly ‘unlocked a new fear’ for them.
“I’m going to sleep with earplugs from now on,” said the horrified woman.
“It fueled my fear of sleeping without a blanket over my head,” one person added.
Other people said they had bugs in their ears.
“I had a fly in my ear when I was six, it caused a lot of pain,” said one woman.
Dr Sam is a general practitioner specializing in skin care and family health. But his TikTok feed is focused on sordid medical secrets and “unlocking fears.”
