Jonny Bairstow takes out the Just Stop Oil protester who disrupted Lord’s Ashes Test

Just Stop Oil protesters invaded the pitch at Lord’s on the first morning of the second Ashes Test.

Before the first ball of the second over of the match, which was to be bowled by Stuart Broad, two people sprinted from the stands towards the middle and sprayed orange powder.

The stewards, with the help of the England players led by wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow, prevented the pitch raiders from reaching the pitch. Bairstow carried one of the protesters to the boundary and the other was pinned down by the stewards.

Around 32,000 spectators loudly booed the duo during the roughly five-minute break.
