Singer Lata Mangeshkar, one of India’s greatest cultural icons, has died at the age of 92.

She died due to the failure of several organs at a hospital in Mumbai after she was admitted on January 11 because of COVID-19, hospital officials said.

Born in 1929 in India before independence, Mangeshkar began singing as a teenager and sang more than 15,000 songs in 36 languages ​​in her 73-year career.
